Blind Dates can be Dangerous
There is no reason to be afraid of blind dates anymore. Here are some tips on how to prevent a blind date from being a dangerous one.
1. Check him/her out. Don't go on a blind date without having any hint as to the kind of person they really are. People will say what you want to hear over the phone or email. They will lie, make up stories about themselves, etc. Please don't let your one evening with someone turn disastrous. A little bit of planning will go a long way toward having a successful date. Do a background check first so you won't be anxious.
2. Go for the casual date. Go where there are a lot of people around. You don't want your first date to be real cozy and secluded.
3. First impressions are important. Trust your gut. If you have a bad feeling about the person after you meet, there's probably a good reason. Some people on those dating services are scary. Check them out too. In this day and age you can't be too careful.
